Tadaaaa here it is! The cover of my new book!
The book is not completely finished yet of course. I still have to finish a few illustrations before I can send it to a printer. It is written in English but I will also translate it to Dutch and maybe even Russian but we are still negotiating about that.
This book has been quite a challenge. I wanted to end up with 76 pages so I could make the hardcover version at Amazon. But it has also been a challenge because I have used three styles mixed together; picture book, chapter book and a comic style. The idea behind this is that children who have trouble keeping their attention on the story need more visual stimulation to continue reading, to keep it interesting. I wonder if this is the book that will be read with pleasure!
Coming soon:
Alisa, Princess of Azuria and the search for the lost words
What happens when you don’t like reading…?
When Alisa stumbles upon her mischievous cat Snowy and finds herself in a mysterious world, her ordinary afternoon takes a magical turn. Suddenly, she finds herself in a grand palace where her father is king, her cat can talk, and a funny spider claims she’s trapped in a book.
The only way home is to write the ending of the story. But there’s one big problem: she never paid attention in school, so she’s no good at reading or writing. Can Alisa find the courage to learn how to write the ending and find her way home?
Join Alisa, Snowy, and Sally the Spider in this whimsical adventure about friendship, determination, and the power of stories.
A heartwarming story for readers who believe that every ending is waiting to be written.
